Helen M. Meehan, age 84, a resident of North Ridge Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, died early Wednesday morning, March 7, 2001, at the center.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2001, at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass will be Rev. Gerald Foley, with cremation to follow.
She was born November 1, 1916, in New York, N.Y., daughter of the late Joseph and Skolastika Kralovic Mihina. On May 12, 1951, she married James J. Meehan, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, New York, N.Y. He preceded her in death on January 30, 1990. Helen was a member of the National Slovak Society and Holy Innocents Catholic Church.
Survivors include one son, Michael Meehan, Roseville, Minn.; three granddaughters, Heather, Mary, and Sara, all of Minnesota; two great grandchildren, Hollie and Charlie; one brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Bettye Mihina, Arlington Heights, Ill. Also surviving are other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Robert Meehan.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
