Mary P. Wazny, age 90, of 1504 S. 23rd St., Manitowoc, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2000, at her sister's residence in Two Rivers, after a strong and courageous battle with cancer.

Due to the renovation of St. Mary Catholic Church, Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2000, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Roman Zbieranski O.F.M., with burial at Assumption B.V.M. Church Cemetery, Pulaski, Wis.

She was born June 22, 1909, in Painsdale, Mich., daughter of the late Stanley and Josephine Wendzikowski Bialozynski. In 1939, she married John Wazny in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death May 19, 1954. Mary was employed with Sorge's Dairy and retired from the Left End Steak House. She was known for the making of rag rugs, enjoyed her plastic canvas crafts, woodworking, gardening and teaching her grandchildren and great grandchildren to play her favorite card games. She enjoyed playing Bingo at the Senior Center, with her sister, Nat.

Survivors include three sons and a daughter-in-law, Florian Wazny and special friend, Marian, St. Nazianz, Bernard Wazny and special friend, Barb Hochkammer, Manitowoc, Ray and Pat Wazny, Seymour; nine grandchildren, Pat, Mary, Belinda, Julie, Jeff, Cheryl, Chris, Tina and Beth; eight great grandchildren, Billy, Bobbi, Becki, Josh, Ryan, Lindsey, Riley and Logan; two sisters, Regina Novitski, Nat Domres; a brother and sister-in-law, Chester and Theresa Bialozynski; her two puppies, Tiny and Toby; other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Frances Jarvi; and a nephew, Patrick Jarvi.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4-8 p.m Friday, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. by Deacon Robert Drobka. Friends may also call Saturday morning at St. Andrew Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m.
