Lola B. Couch, 83, of New Lebanon, went to be with the Lord on Monday morning, July 15,2019. Born August 6, 1935 in Sand Lick, KY, she was a daughter of the late Farris and Mary (Webb) Gabbard. She retired after 12 years with the Inland Division of General Motors and previously worked for St. John’s Transportation as a school bus driver for Dayton Schools. Family was always her highest priority. She loved to cook and garden, spend time with her family and attend her grandkids school and sporting events. She was a member of the Church at Farmersville. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by son David J. McQueen in 2009; brothers and sisters Douglas “Junior” Gabbard, Amos Gabbard, Kenneth Gabbard, Imogene Buck, and Dennis and Margaret Gabbard as infants.

She is survived by children Cheryl Bingham and husband Victor of Oak Ridge, TN; Denney McQueen and wife Gail of NewLebanon; Julian Dianna McQueen of Frankfort, KY; Dawanna Hemming and husband Mike of Brookville; 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one on the way; close as a sister, sister-in-law Brenda Gabbard of Sand Gap, KY; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens – 3377 US Rt. 35 – West Alexandria. Pastor Todd Smith presiding. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Church at Farmersville – 5309 Farmersville Pike – Farmersville, OH – 45325. Burial Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
