Karen Wattles, 43, Ingraham, died early this morning from injuries received in a two-vehicle accident on Rt. 50 in Clay county.

Services for Karen Wattles, who died at 5:18 a.m. July 30, in St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., of injuries received in a two-vehicle accident, will be Thursday in Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wendelin with Rev. Father Leo Reinhart presiding. Visitation will be today in Summers Funeral Home with the Holy Rosary at 8:30 p.m. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Wendelin.

Mrs. Wattles was born Aug. 24, 1941, in Clay County, the daughter of Harold and Pauline (Kuenstler) Bahl. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wendelin, and the Eagles Lodge.

Survivors include three daughters, Jodi Bahl of Cisne; Mrs. Gary (Synda) Snell of Sailor Springs; Jill Meeks of Olney; two brothers, Ken Bahl of Olney; Marvin Bahl of Ingraham; two sisters, Gloria Frohning of Ingraham; Marlene Schmitt of DesPlaines; her mother, Pauline Bahl of Ingraham; and three grandchildren, Kory, Brody and Linsey.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Her first husband was Carl Eddie Meeks born 8 Sep 1941 in Newton, Jasper, Illinois s/o John Russell Meeks Find A Grave # 59303863.

They were married 6 May 1965 in Olney, Richland, Illinois and he lives in Gassville, Baxter, Arkansas in 2020.
