"To Know Rebekah, was to be Loved by Rebekah." Andy Gibson

Rebekah Peurifoy was the daughter of Robert C. Peurifoy and Virginia F. Byrd Peurifoy. She was an exceptional young woman who graced the world with her wit, love, and joy. At the time of her unexpected passing, she was the resident manager of the Bleckley Inn, a hotel in downtown Anderson, South Carolina. She was a worship leader at The Artisan Church and a Board member and volunteer with the LOT (Least of these) project in Anderson. This was a ministry to the lost and the least of people in the community. Her work through the Inn brought her into contact with many business and professional people in the town.
Previsouly Rebekah had been the resident manager of The Inn at Crestwood in Blowing Rock as well as The Lodge at Hounds Ears and The Grandfather Country Club lodge.
Rebekah's greatest love in life was Jesus Christ. Her faith was not a passive concept but an active life of relationship. In her church, she was a worship leader, advisor, Bible Teacher, and counselor. For her age, many came to her for counsel, wisdom, and guidance.
Rebekah grew up in Asheville, NC, graduated from West Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte and Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.
Rebekah loved kayaking, hiking, and travel.
She was preceded in death by her brother,
Nathan Peurifoy with whom she was very close.
Her passing was too soon.

A Poem from Rebekah

Sunrise
Facing horizon with eyes closed
It's been a long night

Let the sunrise
Let the sunrise
We open up our eyes
We open up our eyes

God is so good
God is so good

Your so much better than I think you are
The way you've loved me from the very start
You're so much better than I think you are
My soul knows it well

I've got this joy and it won't let go
Looked in his eyes and freed my soul

So I'll give thanks to God
When I don't have enough
Cause he's more than enough
And he knows what I need

I am the prodigal son every time I look for unconditional love outside of God -Henri Nowen

God in Christ reconciled the world to himself

God loves you as you are not as you should be- Brennan Manning

It feels like coming home for the first time in a long time- it's feels like coming home

I'm running into your arms
You're holding onto my heart
And you're never
You're Never letting go
