Joe Williams proudly served in the US Army from 1970 - 1983. He married Leonel Huskey in 1974 in Archer City, Texas. He, his wife and daughter during his time of service lived in Washington, Georgia, and W Germany (1980-83).
They returned to Texas in May 1983 and lived close to his family outside of Wichita Falls for a short time before moving to Possum Kingdom in 1984. He worked for 20 years for the Brazos River Authority as a hydroelectric power plant technician at the Morris Sheppard Dam, and eventually retired in Breckenridge.
