Dillon Kainoa Meyers-Herbert passed away suddenly Dec. 13, 1996 at Children's Orthopedic Hospital. She was 3 years, 7 months and 8 days old.

She was born to Donald Edward Herbert and Bobbie Jo Keahilani Meyers on May 5, 1993 in Burien, WA. Dillon attended therapy at Boyer Children's Clinic once a week for two-and-a-half years, under the loving care of Carolyn Kates. She also attended a special pre-school class at Boyer for one-and-a half years, with teachers Lori Humble and Rachel Reese. In September she began attending pre-school with her grandma Herbert four mornings a week at Olympic Elementary. On Sundays she attended West Seattle Assembly of God Church with her grandparents, where she was loved by all.

She is survived by her parents; half-sisters Rozlynd Kauilani Vares and Dakota Keahilani Diaz; half-brother Ian-Roy Ikaika Meyers; grandparents Darrell and Jeri Herbert and Jackie Ryder; step-grandfather Roy Ryder; and great grandmothers Ruthanna Hatch and Katherine Kahahawai.

The funeral was held Dec. 17 at West Seattle Assembly of God Church, under the direction of Howden Kennedy Funeral Home of West Seattle, with Pastor Larry Bentz officiating. Interment and graveside services were held at Abbey View Memorial Park in Brier, WA.

She was the great granddaughter of Frank Paul Hatch, Ruthanna (Wood) Hatch, Earl Edward Herbert and Lila Merle (Strayer) Herbert.
