(1934 - 2005)

Richard L. Rysticken, age 70, of 722 S. 30th St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 17, 2005, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

He was born Aug. 22, 1934, in Manitowoc, son of the late Leo and Mabel Strouf Rysticken. Richard was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, class of 1953. On Nov. 16, 1957, he married the former Lorraine Fogeltanz at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. Richard was employed at Mirro Aluminum Company and Foley for 42 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Show Sportsman Club and had a love for the outdoors. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and loyalty towards his family and friends. His greatest joy was time spent with his best friend, his loving wife.

Survivors include his wife: Lorraine Rysticken, Manitowoc; two daughters and a son-in-law: Cindy and Greg Uhen, River Hills, Wis.; Diane Hochkammer, Cherry Valley, Ill.; five grandchildren: Ben, Sarah and Danny Uhen; Andrew and Adam Hochkammer; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Tom and Lynn Rysticken, Two Rivers; Jim and Marilyn Rysticken, Manitowoc; two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law: John and Joyce Fogeltanz, Kellnersville; Don and Sandy Fogeltanz, Kellnersville; and Joyce Fogeltanz, rural Cato. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law: John and Monica Fogeltanz; and a brother-in-law: LeRoy Fogeltanz.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc. Officiating at the memorial service will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen. Cremation has taken place.

Friends may call at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug.i 20, 2005, until the time of service at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Richard's name.
