She was born Sept. 7, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, and resided most of her life in Anderson.
Dolores graduated from Markleville High School.
She was employed for eight years by Delco Remy, and then became a mother and homemaker.
She enjoyed cake decorating and sewing for many close friends and family members.
Dolores is survived by her loving daughters, Melody (Stephen) Smith of Anderson and Darlene (Victor) Roemer of Middletown; grandchildren, Shaun (Julie) Smith, Meleah (Darian) Morton, Micayla Smith, Joe (Sherri) Roemer, Abbie (Chris) Fellers, and Ann Roemer; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl D. Venis; parents, George and Iona (Million) Hartman; and brother, Alvin (Mary) Hartman.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Miller's Merry Manor, Kindred Hospice, and Dr. Anne Ford for all their love and care of mom.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 25, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will follow visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park.
