Caroline Salmon was a daughter of Eli and Lydia Van Meter, born in Marion Co., Ohio on 12 Aug 1832 and died 27 Feb 1905 and is buried at Pleasant ?Ridge Cemetery in Harrison County, Missouri. During the Civil War, Boone served in the famous Merrill's Horse and was a farmer all of his life. Boone died on 18 Mar 1884 and is buried next to his first wife Sarah Ann Brown Ballard.
