Mr. Allen was mayor of Northville from 1957 to 1978. He was a mason and the founder of Allen Monuments (now known as Inch Memorials) in Northville MI. Everyone who knew Mike was proud to call him a friend, and mentor. When I started work at Inch, Mike still came in to help out and I learned much from him. Until the year of his death he could be found in his workshop building bird houses or making christmas ornaments, he helped anyone in need and his presence in the community is sorely missed.
