Margaret C. Bingaman, 87, of 323 Center St., died Sunday, Oct. 16, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes. She was born Dec. 3, 1906, in Quasqueton, daughter of Hans and Lena Olsen Larsen. She married Worth H. Bingaman on May 11, 1935, in Fort Dodge. He died in 1962.
Mrs. Bingaman was employed with Deere & Co., for 25 years, retiring in 1968. She was past president of St. Paul's United Methodist Church Women; twice past Matron of The Eastern Star; past Worth High Priestess of the White Shrine; and was Waterloo Mother of the year in 1973.
Survived by: two daughters, Irene Jurgensen and Collene Peirce, both of Waterloo; a son, Rex of Waterloo; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carrie Bates of Independence.
Preceded in death by three grandchildren and five sisters.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, with Burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. O'Keefe & Towne-Grarup & Waychoff Funeral Home. Public service at 7 p.m. by Waterloo Chapter 128 Order of the Eastern Star.
