Annie Etheredge Adams 81 of Cedar Creek passed away on July 15th after long battle with cancer.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John. She is survived by her sister Lucile (Sam) & husband, Richard Wilhite, six brothers, Douglas McCarty, Curtis & wife, Liz, Hubert & wife, Patty, Jesse & wife, Barbara, James, Bobby & wife, Letha Etheredge. Her son and daughter-in-law, Tim & Belinda Adams, daughter and son-in-law, Audrey & Dennis Walter. Five grandsons, Lee Walter, John Bird, Denny & wife, Michelle Walter, Daniel Adams, Les & wife, Clara Adams. 14 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

Ann was born in Red Rock, then moved into Austin. She met and married the love of her life John Adams from Springfield, Massachusetts, while he was stationed at Bergstrom Air Force Base in 1954. A son Tim was brought into their life, then a daughter Audrey. While raising her family she worked as a cook at Camp Tom Wooten Boy Scout Camp, then South First Baptist Daycare. She took a leap and opened her own child care center, Kid Country Daycare in Austin. She loved to ride on the back of John's motorcycle and was a member of the Austin Road Riders and was a member of the Travis County Emergency rescue squad. She sold her business in the mid 80s and moved to Rockne, Texas, where she and John built their dream home themselves. She enjoyed playing Bingo at the VFW Post 2527, where she was a life member. She mentored at the Bastrop Independent School District, was a member of the Bastrop Senior Center, and Cedar Creek United Methodist Church. She loved her family, extended family and friends very much. She will be missed by all.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home in Bastrop, Texas. Funeral services will begin at 10:00am on Friday, July 26, 2019 at Marrs-Jones-Newby with interment at the Lytton Springs Cemetery. Reception following at the Tilmon Community Center. Tilmon TX.
