Louetta E. JOHNSON, 81, formerly of Shade Gap, and more recently a
resident of Menno Haven Nursing Home, Chambersburg, died at 1:15 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2002, at the Hershey Medical Center.
Born July 29, 1920 at Newburg, Cumberland County, she was the daughter of the late Evaline (Leedy) Barrick. She was married to Ralph A. Johnson July 20, 1939, at Hagerstown, Md. Mr. Johnson preceded her in death Feb. 22, 1995.
Two daughters survive: Sylvia J. Smith of Newville and Shirley L. Shoop of Shade Gap. Four grandsons, six great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren also survive. She is survived by two brothers and two sisters: John Barrick, Newville; George Barrick, Shade Gap; Ruth Johnson, Newville; and Chloe Coppersmith of Shippensburg.
She was preceded in death by infant twin daughters and two brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church, Shade Gap. During her lifetime, she was primarily a homemaker.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, at the Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church, Shade Gap, with the Rev. Wilson Boyd officiating. Interment will be made at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Shade Gap.
