Edward P. Skrzycke, age 76 of 2401 Polk St. Two Rivers, died Thursday, June 3, 2004 at his residence.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers. Deacon Robert Drobka will officiate at the service. Burial of his cremated remains to be held in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Ed was born May 30, 1928 in Two Rivers, a son of the late John & Agnes Deja Skrzycke. He attended the Sacred Heart Catholic Grade School, and Two Rivers Washington High School, where he graduated with the class of 1946. On Aug. 20, 1946 he entered the U.S. Air Force and served his county until Aug. 19, 1949. Edward was employed with the city of Two Rivers Department of Public Works for many years, and also worked for Manitowoc Engineering Co. for several years. He was a longtime member of the V.F.W. Post #1248.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Kim and Susan Skrzycke, Two Rivers; three daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Raymond Lavigne, Manitowoc, Sandy and Jeffery Diederichs, Manitowoc and Lynn and Jim LaFreniere, Green Bay; eleven grandchildren, Heather Meihsner and special friend, Kraig Tome, Kyle Meihsner and fiance Tom Culp, Lindsey (Blake) Callahan, Brandon Meihsner, Lucas King, Steven, Daniel and Ashlee Diedrichs, and Mason, Brady and Logan Drohman. He is further survived by three sisters and a brother-in-law, Pat Coenen, Manitowoc, Alice Zinn, Texas,and Sylvia (Allan) Drobka, Manitowoc; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant son, Todd Skrzycke.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, after 10 a.m. on Wednesday until the time of service at 11 a.m.
