Obituary - Montgomery County Sentinel (Rockville, Maryland), January 3, 1930:
William T. Ridgely, a well known retired farmer and formerly in the mercantile business at Washington Grove for a number of years, died suddenly on Sunday at his home near Gaithersburg, aged 58 years. He was stricken at the dinner table and died almost instantly, heart disease being given as the cause. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Carrie Ridgely, formerly a Miss Dwyer, of Unity, and three sons, William T. Ridgely, Jr., of Potomac, Melvin Ridgely, of Gaithersburg, and Harry Ridgely, of Frederick county. Mr. Ridgely was a lifelong resident of this county. The funeral took place from his late home and burial was in Forest Oak Cemetery, Gaithersburg.
