Brian Ray Taylor, 54, of rural Galena, Ks died suddenly of a heart attack on the morning of April 19, 2018. He was the son of the late Sheldon Taylor of Baxter Springs, Ks and Carolyn Kay Wilcox-Taylor of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Brian is survived by his wife, Wren Johnson Taylor. They were married on February 27, 1998. He is survived by his three sons: Tucker, Sam & Ace; mother, Carolyn Wilcox Taylor, mother-in-law, Pat Johnson, stepmother, Zelda Taylor; sister, Carla Taylor Jordan (Dr. Stephen); aunts, one uncle, as well as numerous cherished cousins and friends.

Brian was preceded in death by an infant sibling; father, Sheldon Lee Taylor; father-in-law, Nels Johnson, his paternal and maternal grandparents, as well as loving aunts and uncles.

Brian graduated from Baxter Springs High School, Allen County Community College and MSSU. He received scholarships in both basketball and baseball and held multiple school sports records.

Brian was an educator in both Carl Junction, Mo and Riverton, Ks School districts and served as baseball coach for several years.

Brian was a long-time employee in the regional Fletcher Family of car dealerships and most recently serving as General Manager at Fletcher GMC/Subaru.

There will be a visitation on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Hope City Church from 11:00am--1:00pm with a Celebration of Life immediately following at 1:00pm, Pastor Cody Walker will officiate the service.
