Harry William Andrewsen Aug. 30, 1920-Nov. 24, 2012 Born and raised in San Francisco, Harry graduated in 1941 from Purdue University in chemical engineering. During the war years, he worked in the development and production of high octane aviation fuel. In 1947 he moved to Marin and joined Chevron Research Corporation where he worked in Process Design for the next 31 years. During that time he designed the F310 fuel additive plant, versions of which are still in production today in several locations around the world. A life-long learner, Harry loved camping, photography, travel and applied problem solving at which he was an expert. Harry is survived by Helen, his wife of 70 years, sons Bill and Eric (and predeceased by daughter Peggy), 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A private family service is planned.
