Stephen Wayne House, age 73, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away Saturday morning, August 3, 2019.
He was born in Birmingham on March 4, 1946.
Steve graduated from Ensley High School and received his Bachelor's and Master's of Science degrees from Auburn University.
He was married to the former Helen Mary Barbara Petran on December 13, 1969.
Steve had a 40-year career in commercial real estate brokerage and sales with Birmingham Realty Company, Coldwell Banker Commercial / Eyster Properties, and Ponder Properties. He was an elder at Briarwood Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Alabama CCIM Chapter, the Birmingham Association of Realtors, and The Master's Bass Club.
Steve is survived by his wife, Helen; one son, Brian House (Jill); one daughter, Emily Cain (Brian); three grandchildren, Jack, Meredith, and Katherine House; and two brothers, James House (Hope) and David House (Renee).
The memorial service will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham. The family will greet friends at the church after the service Tuesday. Burial, Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo.
