Claude Earl Bozarth was the eldest of seven children of William Franklin Bozarth and Effie Mae Hussey, who are also buried at the Mineola City Cemetery. He attended the University of Kentucky, but after a year he grew bored and hired on as a fireman for a local railroad. During the expansion of the rails over the United States, he became one of the "Boomers," who followed the "Boom" as the railroads expanded new lines into new areas. His trail of jobs covered the 48 States, Canada and Mexico. Between railroad jobs he worked with his father in the lumber business.

While Claude was railroading out of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, he met and married his first wife, Ollie Poss. They were the parents of three children: Merland, who died young, Maida Louise and Clifford Bramlett. He married second wife Fannie Lee Garner on 23 Apr 1925 in Texarkana, Miller County, Arkansas. They were the parents of Claude Earl, Jr., Paul Gene and Jo Ann.

Claude retired on May 4, 1956 after 28 years with the Texas & Pacific Railway Company. He stated at that time that he had railroaded into the capitol of every state in the Union except for the capital of state in which he lived. After his retirement he and Fannie Lee went to Austin, Texas to complete his visits to the capitals of all the 48 states.

Claude died in Dallas on March 20, 1958, but he was taken to Mineola, Texas to be buried beside his parents in the Mineola City Cemetery. He was survived by his wife Fannie Lee, his two sons Claude Earl, Jr. and Paul, his two daughters Jo Ann Wilhite and Louise Braun; and 14 grandchildren.
