(1986 - 2006)

Crystal L. Schneider, age 20, of 1820 Maple St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, as the result of an automobile accident.

Crystal was born June 1, 1986 in Manitowoc, daughter of Robert and Cindy (Haupt) Schneider. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, class of 2004. Crystal was attending the University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc, in pursuit of a teaching degree in mathematics. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.

Survivors include her parents: Robert and Cindy Schneider; one brother: Craig Schneider and his fiancee, Anne Palecek, one sister and brother-in-law: Bridget and Nathan Hebert, all of Manitowoc; one niece: Halley; a special friend, Marcus Evans, Appleton; maternal grandmother: Carol Haupt; a special cousin: Andrew Dorner; aunts and uncles; her godmother: Amy Haupt, Sue Haupt and Rod Schultz, Kathy Haupt, Terry and Wayne Johnson, Connie and Peter Dorner, Gaenell and Richard Medina, Jeanne and Dick Metzger, all of Manitowoc; Harold (Bud) and Carol Schneider, Waukesha; and Pat Gilbert, Two Rivers. Also surviving are many cousins, other relatives and friends. Crystal was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather: Richard Haupt; her paternal grandparents: Harold and Elizabeth Schneider; an uncle: Roger (Joe) Schneider; and three cousins: her godfather: Daniel Medina; Lisa Marie Schneider; and Rick Metzger.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2006, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Thomas Pankow. Cremation has taken place.

The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, for a memorial visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, 2006, and Tuesday morning at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

Crystal was a beautiful, caring individual who loved spending time with her family, friends and pets. Her fun loving personality and smile would light up the room. Crystal enjoyed family vacations, cheerleading, music and dance. She touched many lives will be sadly missed by all and who knew her.
