BILL ATWELL

Bill Atwell, age 57, of 1852 Clermont St., Manitowoc, died Saturday, August 13, 1994
at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc. A Memorial Mass will be held on
Tuesday, August 16, 1994 at 7 pm at St. James Episcopal Church, Manitowoc, Rev. David
Klutterman will officiate with cremation having taken place.

Bill was born October 16, 1936 at Stevens Point, Wis., son of William Ensign Atwell
Jr. and the late Helen Owens Atwell. On November 25, 1983 he married Nancy L. Schutz
at Washington Island, Wis. For several years he owned and operated the Vassar Studio
in Manitowoc. Bill loved flying and received his private pilot's license in the late
1950's. Recently, he was awarded his multi-engine rating license.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy, two sons, Chan Atwell, Prairie de Sac, Doug Atwell,
Baraboo, his father, William Ensign Atwell Jr. and his wife, Camille, Stevens Point;
two sisters, Charlotte (James) Erickson, Balsam Lake, Betty (Michael) LaRocque, San
Diego, Calif.; four nieces and nephews, Jeffrey (Suzette) Erickson, Brooklyn Park,
Minn., Lisa Gionis, St. Croix Falls, Jennifer and Todd LaRocque, both of San Diego,
Calif. He is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death
by his mother and his sister, Gwen Gionis.

Friends may call at St. James Episcopal Church on Tuesday from 6:30 pm until the time
of services. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home assisted the family with funeral
arrangements.
