LC or "Brownie" was Fire Chief of the Sharon Township Fire Department, owned a Shell Gas Station and then went on to own BISCO Auto Parts (Brown Ignition Service Company) in Columbus, Ohio. At the time of his death, he lived on Oxford Street in Worthington, Ohio. He was survived by his wife, Geraldine (Dixon) Brown, sons: Lawrence Richard Brown, William Maurice Brown and Gary Ronald Brown and Grandchildren: David Lee Brown, Steven Richard Brown, Jennifer Lynne Brown, Victoria Dixon Brown, Sandra Jo Brown and Jeffrey Lee Brown.
