Bellville, August 15, As a result of falling down stairs about midnight Saturday, Michael Palmer, a retired farmer died at two o'clock Sunday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Johnson about a mile and a half from this village.

Mr. Palmer was born in the town on Boylston, Oswego County, 77 years ago where he lived his entire life on a farm except for three years spent at Sandy Creek. He came here about
three years ago following the death of his wife and hadsince made his home with Mrs. Johnson.

Saturday about midnight he arose and started to desend the stairs at the Johnson home when he made a misstep and fell the whole length of the flight sustaining a fracture of
the skull.

Besides the daughter, Mrs. Johnson he leaves three other daughters and four sons.

The funeral will be held at Boylston at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. George Sweet officiating with burial at North Boylston Cemetery.}}

Michael Palmer died suddenly Sunday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Johnson west of Belleville, aged 77 years.

While the family were a sleep, he got up and fell down the stairs about midnight sustaining a fracture of the skull and died as a result about two hours later.

For many years Mr. Palmer was a resident of the towns of Boylston and Sandy Creek. He was a lover of a good horse and as long as his health would permit usually drove a fine one.
Of late he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs.Johnson. The funeral was held Tuesday, with interment at North Boylston, Rev. Fred Presley officiating.

Michael had been married three times. His first wife was Rosette Greenwood, who died and left four children, Eugene, James, Libbie and Ella; his second wife was Amanda Porter of
South Boylston, who died and left five children, Leonard, Myron, Cora, Emma and Lillian. His third wife was Cynthia Wart of Sandy Creek where they lived till her death.

Survivors were Eugene Palmer of Michigan; Leonard and Myron Palmer; Mrs William Johnson of Belleville; Mrs. Ella Pitkin of Adams; Mrs. Emma Empey and Mrs. Flora Drake of Camden and
Miss Lillian Palmer of Pulaski.

6, 1861. He Mustered out on Mar 31, 1862 at Washington, DC.
