On March 20, 2003 our Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend, Betty, 75, left her mortal body to join her Heavenly Father and those family members who have gone before.

She was born in Charleston, WV to Lueldridge Pauline and Charles Arnold Ratliff July 26, 1927. She lived in West Virginia for all her childhood and referred to it always as "back home." She moved to Salt Lake City after high school and she went on a mission for the LDS Church to the West Central States Mission. After her mission she continued to live in Utah, where she spent the rest of her life.

A few years after her mission she met and married Jack Howard Curtis Oct 27, 1958. Their marriage was later solemnized in the temple. They have enjoyed 43 wonderful years of marriage. Betty and Jack had one son, Marc. Betty loved camping and boating with her family. Her family was the highlight of her life.

Betty was an excellent secretary and worked in that capacity for over 40 years. She enjoyed her retirement for 11 years. She has been active in the LDS church since she was baptized as a teenager. Her favorite church calling was being a teacher; she loved to teach gospel principles to all ages. Betty also loved to sing and was a very accomplished vocalist. She sang for many years with the Schubert Singers and Utah Power & Light shows.

Funeral Services were held on Tuesday March 25th at 12 Noon in the Farmington Oakridge LDS 2nd Ward Chapel, 1280 West 1875 North in Farmington (one block west of Cherry Hills) Where Family and Friends attended a Viewing, One Hour Prior To The Services and on Monday from 6-8 P.M. at the Church.
Graveside Services followed at Lakeview Memorial Estates in Bountiful, Utah where she was buried.
REST IN ETERNAL PEACE BETTY.
