Mrs. Alonzo Thorpe, 70, died Saturday night at her residence, north of this village, following an illness of five weeks. She was a member of the Baptist church of the town of Albion.
Mrs. Thorpe was born August 19, 1853 at Monticello, Sullivan county, where she passed her girlhood days, and for a number of years lived in the town of Albion, in the eastern section of Oswego county.
Surviving besides her husband, are two sons, Henry Jones of Altmar and Claude Thorpe of Oswego; a stepson L.A. Thorpe, who lives in Oklahoma; a daughter, Mrs. Clifford Kelsey of Pulaski, who lived with her, and a step-daughter, Mrs. German L. Mattison of New Centerville.
Funeral services were held from the Kelsey home at 1 o'clock, Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Winfield S. Warren, pastor of the Baptist church. Burial was in Pineville cemetery.
