Barber District – Many friends and neighbors attended the funeral services of Morris Wade held at his home Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. Rev. Munyon of Altmar officiated. The many floral tributes showed the esteem in which he was held. His entire life having been spent in this neighborhood, being the last of a family of six, he had reached the age of eighty-three years. Several nieces and nephews are left, among them are Frank Wade and sisters, Nettie and Libbie of Syracuse who were here for the funeral accompanied by Mr. F. Wade's son and wife, Mrs. J. Hall and granddaughter of Syracuse. Mrs. Minnie Guy of Sandy Creek were among those from out of town who attended the service. He was laid at rest in the family plot in Pineville cemetery. F. R. Corwin, C. B. Norton, D. G. Whitney, Fred Butterworth, Floyd Scram and D. D. Whitney acted as bearers.
