Carlos J. Hill, 88, of Amarillo, died Sunday, July 2, 2000.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Melvin Suttle, pastor of San Jacinto Assembly of God. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St.

Mr. Hill was born in Marion, Ohio and moved to Amarillo in 1947. During World War II he worked in the naval shipyard at Bremerton, Wash. He was an industrial machinist at Amarillo Welding and Machine Shop, retiring in 1979.

Survivors include a son, Ron Hill, of Abingdon, Md.; a sister, Berthele Radebaugh of Marion; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to BSA Hospice.

The family will be at Holiday Inn Express, 3411 W. Interstate 40, No. 137.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
