Robert "Robbie" Alan Mease, 31, Green Bay, passed away Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, at St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay.
The youngest son of Arlene (Pantzlaff) Mease and the late Leonard Mease was born Sept. 26, 1968, in Phillipsburg, Pa.
Robbie's younger years were spent in Mishicot and Maribel. He was very active in drama in the Denmark school system, having played the lead in many school plays from the 6th through the 12th grade. Robbie graduated from Denmark High School in 1987. He served in the U.S. Army from graduation until his honorable discharge, after his illness became apparent.
Survivors include his mother Arlene and her friend Terry Longrie of Green Bay; brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews: Dwayne and his two children Geordin and Aubree of Glenside, Pa.; Brian and Jeanne and their two children Erin and Brandon of Denmark; Jeffrey and Kathy and their two children Ryan and Austin of Green Bay; aunts and uncles: Lloyd and Sandy Pantzlaff of Maribel; Melroy and Arlene Pantzlaff of Maribel; Ralph and Kathy Pantzlaff of Denmark; Maude Beish of Clearfield, Pa.; Marie Renwick of Shady Ridge, Pa.; Annabelle Weller of State College, Pa.; Betty Hileman of Altoon, Pa.; Ruth Mease, Bigler, Pa.; many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Leonard; grandparents James and Priscilla (Hanes) Mease; and Hugo and Elvira (Wolter) Pantzlaff; aunts and uncles Ronald Pantzlaff, Robert Pantzlaff, Willard Beish, Richard Mease, Roland and Mildred Mease, Joseph Mease, Roy Mease, Martin Mease, Lloyd Mease and AnnaMae and Rueben Knepp.
Family and friends may call at Knutson/Cotter Funeral Home, 536 County R. Denmark, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 435 Wisconsin Ave., Denmark, from 10 to 11 a.m.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Jay Kamrath officiating. Burial will be in St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Maribel.
The family extends many thanks to Robbie's dear friends, who stood by him for so long: Jason and Karen Zuileger, Tad Bollman, Peter Wolter and Pamela Schall, Jon and Ann Meziva, Steve and Sharon Schneider, Greg Carriveau, Dan and Tara Mueller and many more.
