(1930 - 2006)

Donald R. Taylor, age 76, a resident of 510 E. Reed Ave., Manitowoc, entered into eternal life on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006, at the Manitowoc Health Care Center.

Donald was born on April 6, 1930 in Mannington, W.Va., to the late James and Ivy Floyd. He graduated from Mannington High School in West Virginia. On July 4, 1951, Donald married Grace Zagrodnik in Anchorage, Alaska, and were together for 33 years. Donald was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following the Detroit Lions, the Detroit Tigers and also the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Survivors include two sons: Robert Taylor, Colorado; and David Taylor, California; a daughter: Andrea (Cedric) Cornwall, Wauwatosa; and four grandchildren: Elyse, Nicole, Kristina and Dominique: also other relatives and friends surviving. Donald was preceded in death by his parents: and two brothers: Bud and Ken Taylor.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Thursday. Sept. 28, 2006, from 11 a.m. until noon. At noon, a memorial video tribute celebrating Donald's life will be played, and will be immediately followed by military rites accorded by American Legion Drews Bleser Post 88.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 628 N. Water St., Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

The family would like to extend a thank you to Donald's special friends including Richard Vogel, Shirley Gorder, Barb and Phil Stecker; the staff and his friends at Four Seasons Restaurant and at Phil Rohrer's, and also to the Manitowoc Health Care Center, for the care they provided to Donald.
