SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Thomas C. Garrett, Jr., 84, will be held Monday July 2, 2007 at Pinecroft Baptist Church beginning at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Marty Wright will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow in Forest Park Cemetery St. Vincent.

The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Southside Sunday July 1, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Garrett was born March 18, 1923 to Thomas C. Garrett, Sr. and Esther Hight Garrett. He passed away June 27, 2007 in Shreveport. Mr. Garrett proudly served his nation in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of Pinecroft Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Peggy Foshee Garrett; sons, Thomas C. Garrett, lll and Terry V. Garrett.

He is survived by son, Vic Garrett and his wife Mary; daughters, Sharon Savell and Rose Zorad and her husband Steve; sisters, Edyth McElroy, Mary Boyt, Jo Ann Smith, and Ila Garrett Carroll; brother, Dean Garrett; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Garrett, Wesley Garrett, Steve Zorad, Paul Zorad, Aaron Zorad, and Chris Flott.

Memorials may be made to the Pinecroft Baptist Church Organ Fund.
