Alice Maud Drinkwater was the daughter of Charles Drinkwater and his wife Sarah Graham.

She married the widowed Henry Pultz Timmerman, son of Parker Smith Timmerman and his wife Mary Eleanor Booth, on November 6, 1895 in St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Montreal, Quebec.

Alice and Henry had at least one son,

1. Everett Drinkwater Timmerman, born September 17, 1896 in St. John, New Brunswick. He married Muriel Halliday Ford, daughter of James S. Ford and Jeanette Halliday, on October 1, 1924 at Duck Cove, St. John, New Brunswick.

The Drinkwater Family appears in the 1871 Census of Canada in the St. George’s Ward of Ottawa. Charles was aged 27 and in the civil service, his wife Sarah was aged 21, and Alice Maud was aged 10 months. The Census date in 1871 was April 2nd, so Alice would have been born about June 1870.

By the taking of the 1891 Census, the Drinkwater family was residing in the St. Antoine Ward of Montreal, Quebec. Charles Drinkwater was aged 45 and employed as a Secretary with the C.P Railway. Living with him were his wife Sarah aged 38, and children, Alice aged 18, born in Ontario, Mabel aged 16, born in Ontario, Graham aged 15, born in Quebec and Kenneth aged 7, born in Quebec.
