Frantisek, son of Anna Frukova and John Bohatka, left Bremen on 12 Dec 1905 and arrived in New York on 20 Dec 1905 with his parents and three brothers. The family traveled to Chicago, Illinois, to join John's two brothers, Joseph and Frank Bohatka, where they all worked as tailors/dyers.

Frantisek's death was four days after his brother Josef's death. Frantisek was the second of three of the brothers who died of whooping cough, within 2 months of each other, within four months of arriving in the USA. One of the brothers survived, and the family had three daughters born in Chicago.
