Daughter of Elmer Reid and Blanche Arnold Simmons Stafford.

John was vice president and general manager of Tideland Services, Inc.

Mrs. Doris Lee Jay of Houston, a former resident here, died last night in a Houston hospital. Mrs. Jay made her home here from 1958 to 1966. Her late husband, John, died here in 1964. She had lived in California about two years before moving to Houston a year ago.

Funeral services will be tomorrow at St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church with the Rev. H. G. Tomlin, rector officiating. Burial will be in Seaside Memorial Park under the direction of Cage-Mills Funeral Home.

Surviving are two sons, Dennis Jay of San Jose, Calif., and Stewart Jay of Houston.

Her father, Elmer Reid Stafford died in February 1935 in Maryland.

Her mother, Blanche Arnold (Simmons) Stafford-Tiemann died March 19, 1974 in Maryland.
Blanche's obit lists her children as Mrs. Shirley A. Wickless of Fernandina Beach, Florida, Robert D. Stafford of Boston, Mass., John G. Stafford and the late Mrs. Doris L. Jay and Elmer O. Stafford.
