Mr. Allyn J. Hogan, 74, of 115 Perkins St., Torrington, died Sunday (March 6, 1994) at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the husband of Sophie (Zaharek) Hogan. Mr. Hogan was born in Goshen on June 25, 1919, a son of the late Albert and Florence (Sterling) Hogan. He retired in 1973 after 32 years with the Anaconda American Brass Company and then worked for 10 years at The Torrington Company, retiring in 1984. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army AirCorp. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Allyn Hogan Jr. of Southington, and Kenneth Hogan of Torrington; three brothers, Harold Hogan of Canoga Park, Calif., Wesley Hogan of Enfield, and Arthur Hogan of Port Charlotte, Fla.; a sister, Virginia Wynans of Enfield; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 9:15 a.m., from the Gleeson Mortuary, 258 Prospect St., to Sacred Heart Church for a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
