Harry Jason Caldwell, 84, a retired mail carrier for the United States Postal Service, died Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Baptist Medical Center- Leake.
Visitation is 5 pm to 8 pm Monday, Aug. 19th at Wilcox Funeral Home. Services are 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Freeny Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Matheny and Rev. Mark Gill officiating.
Interment with military honors will follow in the Caldwell Cemetery. Wilcox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Caldwell, a native of Leake County, was a member of Freeny Methodist Church, a Shriner, and a Mason. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
Survivors include:
his wife, Donna Caldwell of Carthage;
2 sons, David Jason Caldwell of Brandon, James Melvin Caldwell of Carthage, and Scott Henry Caldwell of Carthage;
6 grandchildren: Kristin Malone, Ashley Chamblee, Brandon Caldwell, Justin Caldwell, Tristan Caldwell, and Gabrielle Caldwell;
5 great-grandchildren: Brealyn Malone, Dalton Chamblee, Kayson Malone, Haydyn Chamblee, and Colton Caldwell.
Pallbearers are: Bryan Malone, Josh Chamblee, Brandon Caldwell, Justin Caldwell, Woody Herrington, and Ryan Harkins.
Honorary pallbearers are: Tommy Ganann and Rusty Thaggard.
