WAXAHACHIE, Texas (Sp.) - Fuenral services for Mrs. E. H. Ackley, long-time Waxahachie civic, church and club leader, will be held at 2 pm. Wednesday at the Rudolph Funeral Chapel here. Burial will be in the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
Mrs. Ackley died in a Waxahachie hospital Monday from injuries received in a traffic accident 4-1/2 miles east of Waxahachie last Wednesday.
Officiating at her services will be the Rev. Herbert Polinard, the Rev. Gus Ramage and the Rev. Otha Clary.
Mrs. Ackley, descendant of this city pioneer Davis family, was a former member of the Waxahachie Board of Education. She was president of the Waxahachie Parent-Teachers Association for several terms and organized the Negro PTA here.
She was active in the First Christian Church and was a charter member of the Waxahachie garden Club.
Survivors are two sons, John L. Ackley of Waxahachie and E. Hastings Ackley of Dallas and four grandchildren.
