Irene was the daughter of Bertha Rachel Goin and Robert L. Jamison. She married her first cousin James Tillman Goin Jr. son of James Tillman Goin SR and Annie Marie Smith Goin who are also buried in the Lebanon Cemetery. James Sr and Bertha were the children of George William Goin and Henrietta Harrison Goin who where married in DeSoto County, MS Dec. 6th 1866. James Jr & Irene had no children. George is buried in the New Garden Cemetery in Tate County, MS.
