Funeral arrangements remain incomplete for Pfc. Donald E. Huffman, 25, of New Boston, who was drowned Oct. 6 near Bamberg, Germany.

The soldier's sister, Mrs. Gladys Green of Wheelersburg Rt. 2, was notified Tuesday of arrival of the body in New York, but was informed today that it had not yet left there.

Airman 1.C. Howard J. (Jack) Green, nephew of Pfc. Huffman, is serving as military escort.

The body of Pfc. Donald E. Huffman, 25, was to arrive at the home of his sister, Mrs. Ruth Pellegrinon, 3610 Gallia St., today. Friends may call there after 7 tonight.

The New Boston soldier was drowned Oct. 6 near Bramberg, Germany, where he was stationed with the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment.

Pfc. Huffman was born in New Boston Jan. 3, 1929, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. O.F. Huffman Sr. He was a graduate of Glenwood High School in the class of 1947.

Surviving besides Mrs. Pellegrinon are another sisters, Mrs. Gladys Green of Wheelersburg; three brothers, Clyde E., 1530 Sixth St., Homer of Ceredo, W.Va. and Oscar Jr. of Mansfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Russell, who was killed in service during World War II.

Funeral services are to be held Monday at 9 a.m. at St. Monica Church with Rev. John R. Soltis in charge. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Riggs-Sammons Funeral Home with military rites in charge of James Dickey Post, American Legion. Rosary services will be conducted at Mrs. Pellegrinon's residence Sunday at 8 p.m.
