Obituary
ADDISON A. STEELE

Addison Alberta Steele, son of Delonia Abbot Steele and Barbera Ann Trott Steele, was born at DeSoto, Wisconsin, March 22, 1866, and died at his home in Pepin, Wisconsin, December 17, 1925, at the age of fifty-nine years eight months, and twenty five days.

Mr. Steele spent his boyhood days and grew to manhood in the neighborhood of his birth. He was united in marriage, Feb. 20 1883 to Cornelia Jane Tuttle at DeSoto, Wisconsin. where they spent the first years of their married life, later moving to Rock Falls, Ill. In 1895 they came to Pepin and have since made their home here. To Mr. and Mrs. Steele there were born 5 children, of 3 whom preceded their father in death, Luther Glenn Steele who died in infancy, Letta Bell Steele who died October 29, 1901, and Roxy Jane (Mrs. C.B. Gardner) who died March 21, 1922. Two sons, Earl and Guy, both of Pepin survive to mourn with their mother the loss of a most devoted and faithful husband and father. The deceased is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. J.A. Trombower of Shell Lake, Wisconsin. and Mrs. N.E. Bassitt of Pomona, California, also by eleven grandchildren.

Mr. Steele had a host of warm friends here and elsewhere who will greatly miss his genial companionship and smiling face, for he was a most cordial mixer among his associates and was commonly known by all as "dad" Steele. He will be missed in the community as one was always ready and capable of helping with any public cause and willingly took up the committee work which was often assigned to him.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, December 20, at the house and at the local M. E. Church, the services being conducted jointly by Rev. Quien of the Methodist Church and Rev. Hafermann of the Lutheran Church. Interment was made in the Oakwood cemetery.

CARD OF THANKS,

To the kind friends and neighbors who assisted us in the time of misfortune and sympathized with us in our sorrow occasioned by the death of our loving husband and father, and for the many floral tributes of respect we wish to express our sincere thanks.

Mrs. Cornelia J. Steele
Mr. and Mrs. B.E. Steele
