Jerome T. Schuette, age 58, of 3501 Menasha Ave., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly at his residence, Tuesday morning, Dec. 26, 2006.

Jerome was born May 17, 1948, in Mishicot, son of the late Erwin and Josephine Graczykowski Schuette. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1966. On Oct. 7, 1967, he married the former Elizabeth Pfefferkorn at St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek. Jerome was a self-employed carpenter for many years, and for the last three years was employed at Federal Mogul, Manitowoc. He loved taking care of his grandchildren, hunting, and riding his ATV.

Survivors include his wife: Elizabeth, Manitowoc; three children: Sally Shields, Manitowoc; Anna (Wayne) Schad, Manitowoc; Jon Schuette and his special friend: Lillian Hernandez, New Richmond; three grandchildren: JT Shields, Manitowoc; Karley and Ava Schad, Manitowoc.; five sisters and three brothers-in-law: Nancy Lee, St. Paul, Minn.; Mary Hebert, Manitowoc; JoAnn (Roger) Thorn, Fla.; Jacquelyn (Howard) Schroeder, Manitowoc; Karen (James) Tuschl, New Franklin; five brothers and sisters-in-law: Erwin Jr. (Sharon) Schuette, Manitowoc; James (Nancy) Schuette, Manitowoc; Robert (Clare) Schuette, Manitowoc; Gregory (Jane) Schuette, Manitowoc; Guy (Kathy) Schuette, Manitowoc; two brothers-in-laws and three sisters-in-law: Carl (MaryLou) Pfefferkorn, Francis Creek; Susan (Eugene) Posvic, Manitowoc; Jane Barnes, Valders; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Wesley and Lucille Pfefferkorn; one sister: June Rose Anthony; two brothers-in-law: Kenneth Lee and James Hebert.

A memorial service will be held at Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, Dec. 29, 2006, at 7 p.m. The Rev. Paul Paider will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of service.
