ROBERT E. MILLER

Robert E. Miller, age 82, of Buffalo City, formally of Two Rivers, died on Friday, April 4, 2008, at Winona Community Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Jan. 18, 1926, in Milwaukee, son of the late Earl D. and Margaret (Sherwood) Miller. He attended Milwaukee Public Schools and following his high school graduation he attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for two years. Robert honorably served his country as a member of the U.S. Army Military Police, serving from 1944 to 1946. On March 28, 1949, Robert was united in marriage to Lois Carbon at Immanuel Evangelical and Reformed Church in West Bend. Robert was employed by the City of Two Rivers as a municpal public works supervisor, from 1961 until his retirement in 1985. Following his retirement, Robert and his wife relocated to Buffalo City, where they have resided ever since. He was a very civic orientated man, serving several terms on the Two Rivers school band. In Buffalo City, Robert drove ambulance for the Scenic Valley Ambulance; was an active member for the C-BC Lions Club; and a member of the VFW Post 10106 of Cochrane. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing on the computer, or lunch out at the local restaurant.
Robert is survived by his three children: Tim (Zee) Miller of Ladysmith; Pam (Roger) Berg of Waukesha; and Julie Miller of Winona; three grandchildren: Josie Miller and Ian (Andrea) Berg. Along with his parents and his wife: Lois, Robert was preceded in death by a brother: William Miller.
Private funeral services will be held at a later date. It was Robert's wish to be cremated.
