She enjoyed many years of family camping trips, and she loved to travel. She even took a ten month excursion around the United States.
Fern made her home for nineteen years in the Rainier Beach area. Later, she and Raymond moved to the Lake Ballinger area in Edmonds, WA.
In her golden years, Fern visited the Edmonds Senior Center to participate in ceramic classes.
Her many friends and family members will remember her warm and friendly personality and will miss her presence at get togethers where she was always the life of the party.
Fern passed away on July 7, 2001 in Edmonds, Washington. She is survived by her son Greg and his wife Martha Alexander, of Edmonds, WA; a daughter Myrleen and her husband Bruce Christensen, of Bothell, WA and five grandchildren: Lance Alexander, Joel Alexander, Tiffany husband Dave Walters, Chad Christensen, Brandon Savini. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Curtis Alexander and a daughter Bonita Rae Alexander.
Viewing is Wed. 9am to 8pm at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home 206-362-5200. Services will begin at 10:00am Thurs. July 12, 2001 in the funeral home chapel.
