Born December 13, 1926, in Logansport, he was the son of Asher L. And Mary E. Mummert Lambert. On May 16, 1972, he was married to Maureen S. Creason, who survives.
Mr. Lambert retired from Logansport State Hospital after 35 years of employment. He also had been a bus driver and transportation director for Head Start at Area Five Agency on Aging and Community Services, Inc., and a house supervisor for Woodlawn Center.
He was a member of Wheatland Avenue United Methodist Church in Logansport.
Also surviving are three sons, Ronald G. Lambert, Fort Wayne; Paul K. and Daniel R. Lambert, both of Logansport; two daughters, Carol L. Smith and Judith A. Hobson, both of Logansport; one brother, Cecil A. Lambert, Logansport; eight grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; and two stepgreat-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Harold C. Lambert.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, in Wheatland Avenue United Methodist Church with the Rev. Aletta Heath officiating. Burial will be in Hoover-Snider Cemetery, near Young America. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in McCloskey-Hamilton-Gundrum Funeral Home and one hour before services Saturday in the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County chapter of the American Cancer Society.
