Jack T. Goossen, age 77, of 623 N. 45h St., Manitowoc, died Friday, June 27, 1997, at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 20, 1997, at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Jay Smoke. Military Services will be conducted by VFW Post #659 of Manitowoc, with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum.
He was born January 1, 1920, in Flint, Mich., son of the late Lester A. and Lucretia M. Hall Goossen. He served in the United States Army during World War II and later worked as a supervisor for 30 years with General Motors Corp. retiring in April 1975. He married Ann Banovich May 28, 1962, in Las Vegas. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, a member of the Kenwood Lodge #303 of Milwaukee, Manitowoc Kiwanis Golden K, and the VFW Post #8974 of Cleveland, Wis.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Goossen, Manitowoc one son and daughter-in-law, David and Michelle Goossen, Lakeland, Fla.; one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Joseph Podsedly, Apple Valley, Minn.; five grandchildren; two brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Friends may call at the Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5-8 p.m. Sunday. Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. by the Manitowoc Lodge #65. Friends may also call on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at Knollwood Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church, Manitowoc, or the Manitowoc County Community Hospice.
