Ann Goossen, age 97, a Manitowoc resident died Monday, June 23, 2014 at Azuna Memory Care, Manitowoc.

Ann was born Sept. 28, 1916 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Stefan and Anna Fischer.She attended schools in Milwaukee and graduated in 1934. She married Jack T. Goossen on May 28, 1962 in Las Vegas. He preceded her in death on June 27, 1997. Ann was a Secretary for the Engineering Department at General Motors for 19 years, retiring in 1971. She was a past member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Cleveland VFW Post Auxiliary, Manitowoc Health Care Center Angel Association and a volunteer at Memorial Hospital gift shop for 14 years. Ann enjoyed traveling extensively with her husband, Jack.

Ann is survived by four grandchildren, Patti Murad, Karen Murad, Kelley Howard and Kevin Moran, 2 great grandchildren, A.J. Brung and David Stagnaw, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack, one son, Thomas Patrick Moran, one brother, Joseph Banovich, two sisters, Eva Tellak and Mary Liffingwill.

No funeral services were held and entombment took place at Knollwood Mausoleum, Town of Kossuth.

The Jens Family Funeral Home and Crematory assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
