Elizabeth was born July 14, 1916 in Austin to Ralph and Elizabeth (Graff) Bloomfield. She worked over 30 years at Hormel before retiring in 1976.
Elizabeth enjoyed ice fishing, dancing, cards, golf and she was an avid sports fan. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family and caring for her cats. She was a lifelong member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church and that was the foundation of her faith.
Survivors include her daughter, JoAnne (Richard) Jahr, Austin; three grandchildren, Gregory (Helen) Jahr, Austin, Stephanie (Donald) Villalta, Minneapolis, Susan (James) Hebrink, Austin; nine great-grandchildren, Rachael and Christopher Jahr, Nina Villalta, Anna, Gretchen, Sophia, Seth, Tate and Elyse Hebrink; nieces, Kay (Gary) Bellrichard, Diane (Tom) Brandon, Cathy Snyder; great nieces, Sara Bellrichard, Amy Unruh, Jennifer Brandon; great nephew, Marc Bellrichard.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Arnold; sister, Venessa; sister-in-law, Louise.
A funeral mass will be celebrated 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Father Dale Tupper officiating. There will be a 5 p.m. CCW rosary and a 7:30 p.m. wake service on Monday at Mayer Funeral Home where friends may call from 5-8 p.m. and also one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
The casket bearers will be Gregory Jahr, Christopher Jahr, James Hebrink and Donald Villalta.
