Alden O'Neal Michaels, Jr., 75, of Sistersville, WV, passed away August 16, 2019 at Liza's Place.

He was born October 23, 1943, in Arteza, NM, a son of the late Alden O'Neal Michaels, Sr. and Tamza Flynn.

Neal was a Global Quality Assurance Manager at the former Union Carbide. He was a member of the Wetzel Lodge #39 AF & AM and he was a member of the Sistersville Elks BPOE #333 as well as Past Exalted Ruler and Past State President. He was involved with the WV Elks Major Project for handicapped children and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara Michaels of Sistersville, WV; sons, Charlie (Cindy) Michaels of Grove City, OH and Neal (Amy) Michaels of Daniels, WV; brother, Mike Michaels; step-mother, Martha Michaels; grandchildren, Joshua Michaels and Peyton Michaels; step-grandchildren, Ashley Henley and Cierra Smith; sister, Karen Templeton; and many nieces and nephews and pets.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Tina Michaels and James Oliver and Bessie Flynn.

Friends will be received Monday from 1-3 and 5-7 pm at Myers Funeral Home and on Tuesday from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm with Reverend Andrew Tennant officiating. There will be an ELKS memorial service at 7:00 pm Monday evening. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
