Of Bradenton, FL, died on Wednesday, February 11, 2004. Mrs. Nusbaum-Stone was born on August, 21 1916 in Rockville, MD to Edna and Clarence Anders. In 1937 she was married and after 39 years divorced from Leland Nusbaum, who is deceased. She later married Peter Stone, also deceased. Mrs. Nusbaum-Stone moved to Bradenton, FL in 2000. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards and social events at her community there. In her younger years she was active in sports, playing early woman's semiprofessional basketball in Rockville during the 1940's. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Edna "Dinky" Edwards and Faye "Dolly" Embrey Lutz and husband, Walter Lutz, and two brothers, Paul "Bucky" Anders and Milton "Eddie" Anders and his deceased wife, Helen. She is survived by one brother, Norman "Boy" Anders and wife, Dorothy Anders and a sister-in-law, Nancy Anders. She is also survived by three daughters, Patricia Cave of Bradenton, FL, Gloria Armstrong and husband, Irving Robert Armstrong of Longmont, CO and Linda Verna of Kensington, MD; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Sunday February 22, at 1 p.m. at Parklawn Memorial Park in Rockville, MD. All are welcome.
