Mr. Walter Odegard Bilben, beloved husband of Mrs. Connie Bilben of Airdrie, passed away at home July 6, 1988 at the age of 80 years, after a lengthy illness. Besides his loving wife, Mr. Bilben is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Dennis Holmes; one son and daughter-in-law. Ken and Trudy Bilben; three grandchildren, Paula, Rick and Melanie; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Clara and Russell Northcott, Ella Evans and Julia Walton and three brothers, Alfred, James and Gilbert. He was predeceased by one sister Olga Waite and by one granddaughter Jacquline Jones. Mr. Bilben was born August 3, 1907 at Claresholm, Alberta and moved to Beddington, March 17, 1927 where he farmed in Beddington, Balzac district until he retired to Airdrie in April 1973. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Mclnnis & Hollowav's "Chapel of the Bells Funeral Home" (2720 Centre Street North) on Sunday, July 10, 1988 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Mclnnis & Hollowav's "Chapel of the Bells Funeral Home" (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, July 11, 1988 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the Airdrie Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation, 1825 Park Road S.E., Calgary, Alberta, T2G 3Y6.
